When you train your dog you want to make it a positive experience. You want to reward the behavior that you want the dog to do. By rewarding the good behavior your dog will associate doing what you asked with a good thing. There are many ways to reward your dog. The first way is by giving them a treat when they do the action that you want. Another way to reward your dog is by giving them praise. This type of praise would work well when potty training for example. After they go, then you would tell them they are a good boy/girl in a high pitched voice. Another way to reward your dog is by playing with them with their favorite toy. Whatever way you reward your dog for a good behavior make sure that your dog is enjoying the training time and that you are consistent in your training.
